Dumfries and Galloway Council Gymnastics Scheme

Dumfries and Galloway Council run a comprehensive gymnastics scheme for children of all ages and abilities.  The scheme runs classes for children from 18 months old, through to secondary levels.  Gymnastics is a great way to encourage your child’s physical and social development and is one of the best early sports for children.  Core movement skills including strength, coordination, self confidence and body awareness – skills for life – are all developed through gymnastics.

At Maxwellton High Sports Hub, Dumfries and Galloway Council run gymnastics sessions specifically for boys from Primary 1 to S6.  These sessions focus on the male disciplines within gymnastics and beginners are welcome.

A gymnastics conditioning class for existing gymnasts, working on their advanced levels, also runs at the Sports Hub.

For further information on the Dumfries and Galloway Council Gymnastics Scheme, please contact DG One on 01387 243550 or email gymnastics@dumgal.gov.uk
